I always tell everyone to dress for comfort. Wear outfits that you feel like you! Please consider the environment we’ll be shooting in and the season as well. For example, If we are headed to the mountains, heels won’t work as well as trainers will.

I always tell my clients to bring two outfits. Something more informal but cute ( like something you would wear on a lowkey date night, (a nice oversized chunky sweater or a tighter shirt with a long flowy sweater that opens in the front), and then a more elegant outfit ( flowy type dress always works well).

I find these tones photograph beautifully: creams, soft greens, dark greens, greys, tans, mustard yellow, pale pinks, rusty orange, maroon, etc. Basically, anything earth-tone looks amazing!

Colours to Avoid: Any distracting heavy patterns, large logos, bold neon colours, and all matching black or pure white outfits(if on the beach).

All that being said, wear what makes you YOU! These are all just suggestions.

Choose a location that is meaningful to you. Whether it be a coffee shop downtown where you first met, a favourite bar, or a place you have developed a connection with through past experiences.

We can also go to an epic new place you have never been to before or have wanted to go to.

I am up for anything! Surrounding yourself with somewhere you love is the key to rocking your couple’s shoot.

Forget any ideas of what makes a flawless couple shoot! A huge component of creating natural and genuine imagery is to embrace the inevitable elements during the session.

Our power over the environment can be limited. Take this time to embrace all of the elements, rain or shine! It can usually help create unique and sometimes super dramatic images.

I don’t want you to feel stiff or like you have to hold an awkward pose for any length of time. It’s my job to make you feel super comfortable in front of the camera.I will help guide you with some simple, easy, natural poses.
